"This one will probably surprise a few people – and for good reason. This genre isn’t something I listen to a great deal and therefore know very little about. I have however been aware and even a follower to some degree of these two electronic music masterminds. Something about their infusion of parlament-esque style 70’s funk into their synthpop sound combined with catchy hooks and beats drew me in. I am also intrigued with the way this French duo handles the music industry, much the same way as Tool, with very little interaction, including interviews and promotional appearances.
From the first mesmerizing moment when I saw the video for Da Funk, these guys have been one of the most intriguing and enigmatic contemporary musicians I follow. They have even managed to pull off the mask/helmet gimmick in a way that does not feel forced or kitschy and somehow remain a staple that the music industry and fans are forced to take very seriously." -Stickman
