"If someone asked me to pick a movie that was dripping with musical undertones but not actually about music – my answer unequivocally would be 1987’s “The Lost Boys”. From the rock ‘n’ roll style and wardrobes of the cast to the killer soundtrack, including maybe the best score in the history of film making, the film feels like an hour and a half rock video.
This piece is probably the longest standing idea I’ve had in the queue, originally wanting to paint this as far back as the nineties. When Marilyn Manson’s version of “Cry Little Sister” showed up on my shuffle awhile back, I knew it was time to put this idea into reality. The musical influence coupled with the fact that vampires will always be associated as the ultimate rebels, this seemed like a perfect fit for my Rebels portfolio, as well as my style and brand."
