"This is the fourth and final installment in the Sympathy series. Although Ronnie Wood isn’t the first Stones guitarist, he is most definitely the longest serving and since he joined the Stones in 1975 he is the one that I identify with the most.  Having previous success with bands such as Faces, the Birds and the Jeff Beck Group and already being close friends with Mick and Keith he was a perfect replacement for Mick Taylor. In the words of Charlie Watts, Ronnie was the perfect person to bridge the gap between the two extroverted personalities and the two introverted personalities that made up the Stones in the 70’s.

Keith states that their chemistry is incomparable and instead of having a lead guitarist the two actually “weave” their playing together to create an amazing and unique sound. Ronnie Wood’s talent has earned him the rare accomplishment of being inducted in to the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame twice, once with the Stones in 1989 and again in 2012 for his work in Faces. Away from the stage Mr.Wood is also an accomplished artist and paints in a pop realism style such as myself." - Stickman
