His shrilling rock n' roll screams helped propel Guns N’ Roses debut album Appetite For Destruction to the dubious honour of being the best selling debut album of all time (U.S.) and was on heavy rotation in my house throughout the late eighties. Axl is almost as famous for his unique persona and off stage antics as he is for his legendary live performances. The reclusive rock star has always seemed to go against the grain and do things his own way and on his own timeline (anyone who has attended a GNR concert can attest to that statement).
