"Those who follow my work know my love of the Stones and their influence on me. This piece is simply a case of it just being time to paint the Stones once again. I chalk this one up to divine intervention – I was pulling into the parking lot of my canvas supplier when Sympathy for the Devil came on. As much I like the style and the facial features of an elder Keith, this piece is really about his rickety old five string guitar and his unmistakable hands that are showing over six decades of playing that guitar. There is something very gritty and decadent in portraying the contemporary versions of this legendary band that seem to resonate with me and the feeling I try to accomplish with my work." -Stickman
