Last Call by Michael Godard
This was inspired by the 2:00 a.m. last drink cutoff time at bars. A male olive plays footsie with the female olive next to him and tries to get lucky as last call approaches. They have been drinking for a while as evidenced by the number of empty martini glasses on the bar next to them. There is a pack of Lucky Strike cigarettes on the bar. I don’t usually put cigarettes in my paintings because they are nasty… I usually put a cigar because it is more relaxing. ~M.G.
